Tricia has been practicing yoga for 12 years, though her interest in it started at the age of 16 when she first read about it in a teen magazine. Growing up on a farm in southern Saskatchewan near a small town of 400 people didn’t offer her the opportunity to study yoga so she had to wait until she left home to try out a class. At the age of 23, while pregnant, she was introduced to Iyengar yoga while attending a retreat with Senior Iyengar Instructor Father Joe Pereira. She then took a variety of classes in Calgary, Australia, and Moose Jaw before settling into regular Iyengar classes in Edmonton. It was while taking classes there that she realized how much her yoga practice has influenced her own life and realized that she wanted to share her love and passion for yoga with others. She has studied continuously with Father Joe for the past 10 years and attended many other workshops and classes with Canadian Senior Instructors in Victoria and Edmonton. Tricia is certified at the Introductory II Level, is working as a Registered Acupuncturist and being mom to her young son.
